We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this vet. All the people at the practice are kind and friendly and you can tell they really care about the animals. It may not be the brightest or newest interiors, but this is a wonderful place to bring a pet that you love.
Caring, Expertise – I agree whole hardly with mrsgreen. Dr. Branson and Dr. Roof have taken care of all my dogs, birth to grave for the last ten years. We had a Boykin Spaniel with a rare neurological disease and we referred to a doggie neurologist who had never even seen this disorder. On another occasion we were offered a referral to a veternary school. We even had a necropsy ( animal autopsy) performed in the neurological case. They have never hesitated to offer consultations and have recommended other specialist on numerous occasions ( neurology, fertility treatment, orthopedic). Even at times they have called back after thinking of something and having researched it- with additional information.
They get tearful when they lose an animal friend (Autumn died of cancer). In a time when I had limited resources they shared the continuum of options and discussed conservative vs. aggressive care and ultimately what was best for our 'fur kid'. We have on several occasions been extended a payment plan to ensure our 'fur kid' got the right level of care needed.
I LIKE both of these people as individuals as well as doctors. When I call, Sandra, front office and technician, knows me, knows my dogs, and follows up on any questions or concerns. The place does not even smell like animals like most offices. They 'operate' a stray program for just about any animal that comes in with need ( or referral to an appropriate wildlife rehabilitator).
They take care of the strays out of their own expenses.
I hope whoever reads this will give them a try. All of the people we have referred over the years have stayed with them and are thrilled with their work. Any one can have a bad day or think they didnt get the right treatment especially if their 'loved one' was not able to be saved for some reason. The office is on my Christmas list and you will be happy if they are on yours as well.
BEST VET WE HAVE EVER HAD - AND WE MOVE A LOT! – I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE OTHER REVIEWER WAS ON WHEN THEY WROTE IN A NEGATIVE REVIEW. THERE IS NO WAY ANYONE COULD EVER CLAIM THAT THE VETS THERE - ESPECIALLY DR. BRANSON - ARE NOT THE MOST KIND, LOVING FOLKS IN THE WORLD. THERE SI NO ONE I TRUST MORE WITH MY PET. MY HUSBAND AND I MOVE A LOT..OUR OLDER DOG HAS BEEN TO SEVERAL VETS IN LOTS OF STATES ..AND DR. ROSEMARY IS THE BEST WE'VE EVER HAD(I MIGHT ADD THAT MY FAMILY RAISED DOGS AT ONE TIME AND I'VE ALWAYS HAD A DOG MYSELF..SO, LOTS OF VETS OVETR THE YRS)..MY DOG ABSOLUTELY LOVES HER..WHEN HE SEES HER HE LIGHT UP AND AT ALMOST 200LBS HE'S NO PUPPY..HARD TO WEIGH AND GIVE SHOTS USUALLY, BUT DR. BRANSON IS MAGNIFICENT..OUR DOG HAS BEEN SEEN FOR WELL-CARE AND FOR SERIOUS ISSUES AND I HAVE NEVER ONCE FELT HE WOULD BE BETTER OFF SOMEWHERE ELSE..IN BOSTON OUR DOG WAS ABLE TO SEE VETS AT THE EXCLUSIVE TUFTS VETERINARY AND NONE EVEN CAME CLOSE TO THE LEVEL OF CARE WE GET AT BLYTHEWOOD..WE ALSO HAVE SEEN SOME OF THE BEST HOLISTIC, NATURAL CARE VETS AROUND AND I TELL YOU FROM EXPERIENCE (AS A WOMAN WHO USES HOLISTIC CARE ON HER SELF AND CHILD) THAT ROSEMARY BRANSON IS PERHAPS THE FINEST EXAMPLE OF HOLISTIC PRACTICIONERS I'VE MET..WE MOVED AND I STILL DRIVE A WAYS TO SEE HER..ALSO, I HAVE FOUND HER COSTS FOR SERVICES TO BE EXTRAORDINARILY LOW..NOT THAT IT MATTERS - HER EXPERTISE IS PRICELESS AND IT IS A SHAME THAT MORE - ALL - VETS ARE NOT LIKE HER!!!!!
A FEW MORE THINGS: ALWAYS A PLEASURE TO DEAL WITH ANYONE THERE, ALWAYS CLEAN, ALWAYS ON TIME FOR APPOINTMENTS..I'VE SINCE RECC. HER TO MANY FRIENDS OF MINE, ALL OF WHOM ARE FOLKS WHO TREAT THIER PETS LIKE CHILDREN AND ARE VERY WELL-EDUCATED ON PREMIUM FOODS AND BEST PET PRACTICES..AND THEY HAVE ALL CALLED ME WITH GLOWING REVIEWS..DO NOT HESITATE TO BRING YOUR PET TO DR. BRANSON..YOUR PET WILL THANK YOU!
Go elsewhere for serious problems – They may be okay for your basic care, but if your pet has a serious illness I would recommend that you go elsewhere. They are not agressive in their treatment and do not seek out expert advice.
