Breast Cancer Reconstruction & Revision. In February of this year (2011) I had Latissimus Dorsi Flap Reconstruction. I was so pleased to find that my post surgical pain was managed better than ever before. The large incisions were closed with such skill they continue to look better each day. My second surgery was preformed just 2 weeks ago. It was a final revision of the February surgery. I also chose to have the excess skin of my eyelids removed during this same surgery. I am already thrilled with the results.. I am very happy to have completed my surgery experiences with Dr. Kalus. A gifted surgical artist. A confident open-minded physician. A calm, yet passionately caring professional. The only thing that would complete the quality care received at Plastic Surgery of the Carolinas would be a comfortable, attentive, competent staff. Dr. Kalus has taken care of that, too. It is worth the time and distance (in my case) to have this kind of medical care. He is and will be my surgeon of choice.
