Bad cut!.
I went to Tonic a few months ago and got a great cut, was growing my hair out & wanted my almost chin lenthg bob reshaped.
Flash forward to deciding to get my hair cut short. Brought pictures that the stylist barely even looked at (and they were pictures of me and a cut I wanted to go back to!).
The stylist used the razor too much and the cut (I can't call is a style) was just choppy and awful. Can't wait for it to grow in and I won't be going back.
OVERPRICED!!!!. I went to Tonic thinking that I would get partial highlights for around $75 as per their website. When was finished they told me it was $105. When I asked why they said that it was because my stylist had "experience," and that the website says "starting from $75." I asked if there are any stylists there that do highlights for $75 and she said that at this time there were not; the cheapest is $100. I told her that I would not have gotten my hair highlighted there if I had known that the price was THIRTY dollars more than what the website quoted as their starting price. The receptionist basically just told me to look on their website for deals in the future. I really feel that I was misled and taken advantage of...I will not go back.
Tonic Day Spa. I thouroughly enjoyed my experience at Tonic Day Spa. I recieved a facial, massage, and manicure and pedicure. The staff was extremely helpful and professional! They made me feel totally relaxed and pampered. Upon arrival, I was seated in the relaxation room where I was offered hot tea or water (they also had trail mix available). I was taken directly into my services (which were FABULOUS!) and since I was there for over 4 hours I had the option to order lunch. My manicure/pedicure was amazing--hands down the best I have ever recieved. I would recommend this spa to anyone looking for top of the line treatment from start to finish!
Poor Customer Service With Pedicure So So with Massage. Got a massage and pedicure there in mid june 2007. The layout was kind of funky in that i walk in the front door and had to wind my way back a while past the manicure and pedicure station unitl I found the receptionist. They took me back to the "relaxation area" which was no more then a curtained off area with seating, that i could still hear everyone talk. The massage therapist took me back for my deep tissue massage which was good she did a nice job and it was enjoyable as a deep tissue massage could be. Next, i was taken to my pedicure, first i asked when i booked my appointment for a raw earth pedicure, and i got the crappy basic creative spa pedicure. My technician didnt even talk to me was to busy talking to here co-worker about how much party she did the night before and what she was do tonight. She blew through my service in like 30 minute and for $65 was not worth it. When she paint my toes she put it on real quick and painted my cuticles and never cleaned it up, so needless to say my paint chipped in like two days. Honestly for the money i spent i deserved a refund for the quality of service, I could have went to one of the asian shops and gotten a better job done in the same time and for a 1/3 of the price. Needless to say i will not be going back to them.
