Worst German Food I've Ever Had. I've never written a review for a restaurant but after the trip to Julia's I felt inspired to share my experience with others as a forewarning. First a foremost to go to a german restaurant that doesn't serve draft beer is possibly the biggest clue that you won't be getting authentic food. Everything we ate there besides the schnitzel (which was extremely greasy) came out of can; this includes their sauces, red cabbage, and potato salad were all extremely disappointing. I honestly believe that the only reason this place has a 4 star rating is because the owners have left biased reviews themselves. Please save yourself from an overpriced below par meal.

Not Authentic German Food. My husband and I, we were looking for an authentic German restaurant and came about Julia's by accident. My husband is from Germany, and we decided to eat at Julia's. We both ordered the Jagerschnitzel. The food came out very fast, but the quality of cooking did not live up to the true German standard. My husband was thoroughly disappointed. We were first served with a salad. The authentic German salad is a bit sweet, but the salad we got was more vinegary. The food was supposed to come with red cabbage, but we were not served it. Reason?

The biggest disappointment was the Jagerschnitzel. It was supposed to come with a brown, some what thick gravy with mushrooms and peppercorns. The food had no seasoning. To top it off, the sauce, which is central to the dish, tasted like it came out of a can with stewed mushrooms. It was like eating turkey gravy. We were thoroughly disappointed in the quality of the food and the ratings given to this place.

This is a place for anyone who is looking for the American version of German food. Also, it is not a place for the young or a foodie.

To top it off, we asked the elderly lady who was serving us where the pickles were bought from (the pickle was good) and she said she cannot tell us as it is their secret. My husband and I were both speechless at the rudeness of the comment.

Great Food, Rude Service. I was very impressed with the food! The cheese schnitzel was absolutely delicious. However, I was not so impressed with the service. One particular waitress shouted at me, and belittled me for moving 2 tables together to make room for a larger group after I received her approval to do so. In addition, when politely asking if any smaller portions were available, I was told to go to Applebee's down the road. Will not be returning anytime soon.

A true family atmosphere. Are you kidding me??? How I haven't heard of this place in the past year is beyond me. The place may be small in stature (12 tables) but the food packs a wallop! I am already plotting my next trip with even more family and friends. We had a variety of items on the menu and every single item covered the plate and tasted amazing. NOTE to all they don't take credit/debit cards only cash and checks some come prepared.

Really good schnitzel and gulashsuppe. First off, don't be in a hurry if you're going to eat here. Plan to enjoy a few drinks and enjoy some conversation. This is a great place to just slow down. If you're the type who gets upset that your food isn't ready in 10 minutes, then there's a McDonald's down the street that's just for you.

I've been to Julias many times and will continue to go there. The food is fantastic, and you can tell that care goes into preparing each plate. They have a good selection of German beers in bottles, but unfortunately don't have draughts.

As long as you understand that this place is truly European in that you're not in-and-out in 30 minutes, you'll really enjoy the food and ambiance.
