Great Experience. I just had my first tattoo done at Purple Lotus. I went in very nervous but Shavon made me feel so at ease right away. She tattooed a beautiful memorial to my brother on my ribs that could not of come out any better. I am so very proud of this beautiful piece of artwork on my body. Shavon is the absolute best. I highly recommend the Purple Lotus tattoo studio to anyone looking to get expert work done along with great hospitality!!

AWESOME artwork!!!!. I went to the Purple Lotus with an simple idea of a memorial tatoo for my father. Shavon took that simple idea and transformed it into something wonderful. I now have a beautiful rememberance of my father. SHE IS GREAT! This was not my fisrt tattoo but it is by far the BEST! If you are looking to get some work done this is the place to go! Thank you Shavon!

Art work is unbeatable but I would recommend small pieces only or pay as you go on large pieces. Very unreliable and unprofessional service, multiple missed and canceled appointments repeatedly without notice. Shop is clean and work is great but service for repeat long term customer service severally lacks to says the least and I would not recommend the hassle to anyone. There are many good artist comparable to the ones in this shop however travel maybe required. I just expect a better experience from an artist of Shavon's quality. I would say that I am very very dissatisfied with my business dealings(meaning they owe me work/money) and have since found a new artist.

Shavon's Purple Lotus Tattoo - Excellent. I just got a beautiful tattoo of tropical flowers that covers my upper arm. I gave Shavon my idea and told her to put her touch on it and I couldn't be happier. I had a old tattoo already on part of my upper arm and she incorporated pieces of art all around the old tat to give it new life and each flower look real, she did a better job than I could have ever imagined. This is my 8th tattoo and by far to best! Thanks Shavon for taking an old tat that didn't look feminine at all and making my arm look like a piece of gorgeous and feminine artwork, you are the best!

Shavons Purple Lotus... Great!. This was my first tattoo. I went in for one small tattoo of a hummingbird on my lower back but after talking with Shavon and getting some ideas from her, and with Shavon's creativity, I came out with a beautiful tattoo of two hummingbirds, flower and a vine accross my lower back. She was very professional and very honest. Her work is beautiful. Her place is very clean. it is obvious she takes pride in her work and treats her customers like she has known them for years. Every single person that has seen my tattoo tells me how great it looks and how the detail in the tattoo is great! You must look at her website her work is one of a kind. Thank Shavon you are the BEST!

The Best. The best real atmosphere, people are wonderful I have had two tattoo's so far and plan for 4 more, if you want a place that will do it right please go to Shavon and not the one in Lexington.

Amazing Tattoos at Purple Lotus!. I received my second Tattoo at Shavon's Purple Lotus Body Art and it is fantastic! My first tattoo was with Shavon and I am still thrilled everytime I look at it. My second tattoo was with Alex and again I am awed everytime I look at it. Both Shavon and Alex are terrific, talented artists. They work with you to develop a custom design that matches your tattoo concept. Both artists are very in tune with what you are looking for. They are skilled tattoo artists with different artistic styles. Their eye for detail, color and shading is remarkable. Purple Lotus can meet any tattoo design you have in mind. You can feel secure that your body is in good hands with either artist. Purple Lotus is a stellar facility - clean, friendly & like visiting a good friend's home. Both artists have gone beyond my expectations. I already have my third tattoo planned with Shavon and am looking forward to it. Columbia is fortunate to have such talent! Redemption.. GREAT TATTOO!!!!!! After being butchered at a shop in 5 POINTS and walking away with a bad taste for tattoos in general (My first tat ever.) Shavon and the Purple Lotus has completely changed my outlook on the whole process. Her 17+ years as a true artist really shines through. The first shop was rude and had an I CAN CARE LESS ATTITUDE but not so at the Lotus. I made the mistake of going to the shop in 5 POINTS because it was close to where I hang out, although I had heard from several people that the Lotus was where I needed to go, Big mistake on my part. Just walking through the front door at the lotus told me I was in the right place. Shavon sat down with me and reassured me that she could fix the mess on my arm. After getting an idea of what I had in mind she drew up a design that blew me away, it was like she could see what I wanted in my mind just as clear as I could. She covered that old tattoo like it was never there with a great piece of art that I get complements on all the time. THANK YOU SHAVON AND THE PURPLE LOTUS. Shavon is working on my next design and I couldn?t be happier. Don?t make the mistake I did go to the Purple lotus first. Shavon, the ink Goddess. Got my Jeanne d'Arc piece finished up and as alway, my time spent at the Purple Lotus was a joy, and i am so happy with my new ink. Shavon was wonderful and patient with me while i had my tense "ouch" moments. She is so good at helping you relax! As for Alex, well, he's hilarious, and no one has ever drawn such nice swirls on me without laughing at my backfat :) You guys are the best! I am barely able to contain my excitement while i wait for my next appointment, to get a really ugly ancient piece from "the bad old days" covered up by something new and beautiful. I can't think of anywhere i'd rather go to get this done....i never planned to have any tattooing done in color, but Shavon's color works is so beautiful that i'm taking the plunge just this once before i go back to black. Thanks again, lovie! Counting the minutes til next week!!! xoxox button
