Peterson & Plante. Try the Northeast office. The atmosphere, doctors and staff there are wonderful. The people at the Northeast are different as night and day. Before you leave the practice altogether, try the northeast office across from Providence Northeast. I speak from personal expericence

Best Doctors I've ever had. Co pays are the same at all doctor's offices. Stop complaining about co pays. I have my prescription requests sent by fax and they are always filled no problems. I am not charged anything extra to have them refilled.

My doctor is Paul Plante and he is one of the most thorough physicians I have ever had. He will be frank and open with you. He studies your chart carefully every time you go in and is most pleasant as well as a good doctor. He gives good advice and I really think he cares about his patients. He listens well.

Profit Driven Practice. The first sign that this practice differs from most of the others will be when they request your co-payment well in advance of you even going back to see the physician. There are signs posted through out the office reminding you to make sure to get all prescription refills while you are with the doctor. Why? Apparently....if you need anything prior to your next appointment...you'll be charged $5 and you must come in and pay the fee prior to getting the prescription...so don't even think about having whatever you urgently need being called in to the pharmacy. If you don't physically get into the office...you will simply SUFFER!! Your physician will probably not give you refills on certain maintenance prescriptions, under the pretext of bringing you back in for a 30 day follow up!! Don't buy it...it's a ploy to bring you back for another opportunity to bill your insurance company yet again!! Other than this major flaw, the staff is extremely pleasant and courteous. They are great about working you in for emergency appointments (possibly because they get that all important office visit FEE) but I'll still put this as a plus. The two physicians that I've seen in the practice were both competant and seemed genuine in their concern about my physical ailment at the time. Bottom line...if you don't mind being seen as a $ sign, this practice is fine. If you wish to be viewed as a person who just happens to pay for treatment, you'd be better off going elsewhere.
