A pleasant surprise!. This restaurant was wonderful. My grandparents treated me to dinner one night, and because I had never been to Garibaldi, I wasn't exactly sure what to expect. But, the service was great, and the food was even better. Though it took quite some time for the food to be prepared, it was well worth the wait. Everyone at my table thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Regardless of how full you may be when your night comes to a close, I strongly suggest ordering dessert. The almond basket was delectable, and it's an option that can't be found at any ordinary restaurant. So, next time you're craving Italian, visit Garibaldi in Five Points. It shouldn't disappoint.

Just a great place !. This is a special place to have a cocktail--enjoy lively conversation--and then have a fabulous dinner. The Italian foods remind me of an Italian MaMa's kitchen--the staff is is so freindly--and do not press/hurry or bother you. You take your time and enjoy all that is offered.

IF you do not have room for dessert--get one to go ! The Tiramusi is a keeper, well, as is all others....I truly do not think you will be disappointed, unless you are a Carpetbagger looking for an 'Olive Garden".

Underwhelming. Our server seemed stoned and did not even know the restaurant had a particular wine that we inquired. The calamari was too done and to their credit has been perfection in the past. The prtions are extremely small and we were sitting by the front desk and overheard every morbid detail of the hostess and waitstaff converstaion. It was a slow night, but still....there are other restaurants that will will give you more food and better polished efficient service. I think that this is one of the several Columbia area restaurants that is capping out.

Superb Restaurant & Bar; Unique Atmosphere.. Traditional restaurant with gormet chef and classic atmosphere that goes back to the turn of the century. If you want to impress your client, or your date, or your spouse, then go here. Super food, super selection, super looks, and super service. They do make restaurants like these anymore. Just east of the USC campus.
