The Best Place To Get Books In Columbia!.
I have been going to The Book Dispensary for years. They have always been a great place to get a wide variety of books at prices so low I don’t see how they stay in business, but they have been at it for pushing 40 years. I guess that proves they are doing lots of things right and you can also prove this by me. My experiences at The Book Dispensary have been uniformly top notch. All their paperbacks are 40% off their original price and if you trade in your old paperbacks you can use your credit for half the cost of what you want to get and then get 40% off the other half. Like I say I don’t see how they stay in business. Now they have even started trading hardback books! I brought in some of my old hardback books and got credit toward the ones I wanted. I used my credit to pay for half the cost of the hardbacks I wanted. They didn’t take all the hardback books I brought in – they are not too keen on taking in hardback fiction, but that’s OK I saved a lot of money with the credit I got for the ones they could take.
Not only does the place have a great selection, unbeatable prices, but they treat you so nice. They’re just a bunch of fun book people. I drive right by two other books stores to get to The Book Dispensary. They are easy to find and centrally located between Greystone Blvd and Colonial Life Blvd on the I-126 frontage road on the opposite side from the Zoo. They are like 5 or 10 minutes from Five Points and The University, and about the same form W. Columbia and Cayce
They are on the way home for Harbison folks from downtown. My best friend drives over to The Book Dispensary from Dentsville. He says it only takes about 20 minutes and is well worth it and he says it is only about 20 miles from Blythewood.
They have a web site at www.mybookdispensary dot com that tells all about their book trading, books rebinding and repair, and tons of other things. Plus it has real good directions.
Regardless of where you live if you are into books The Book Dispensary is the place to go.

INCREDIBLE INVENTORY. I found the Book Dispensary a while back and what a find it was. I love this jewel of a Book Store. The staff's knowledge of their inventory is amazing and cannot be matched by any of its competitors. I'm and avid reader and the paperback selection is what attracts me to the Book Dispensary, although it seems like they have everything for all ages and interest. Any time I can give my business to a local store I do, and this is one place I endorse whole-heartedly.

New store is cool.
I like the new store...I had quit goin for awhile cause the staff at Boozer was rude and the 2notch store was too far away but the new store I like. The lady and the big guy there are always nice. There was a weird cute guy there but he's gone....anyway, I dont know what is up with these reviews lol I think the place is da bomb!! Give em a shot BUT make sure u have books to trade in!!! <----save some $$$$$

A find!. Great customer service and a wide selection. I found a first edition Archibald Rutledge book at a great price, which I wasn't expecting since I came in for a James Patterson paperback after driving by on the way to my optometrist. Will come again.
