Visited twice over the Summer and enjoyed both meals. The goat cheese salad reads like a rock star on the menu but was less than spectacular on the plate. The filet, however, was nicely seasoned and cooked to perfection. On a second visit, the very classic boulliabaise was simple, unpretentious, and wonderful. A dining partner had the scallops, which were very nice. As most people know, the wine list is this restaurants claim to fame & it does not disappoint. This is not the most exciting place to eat in Columbia, not by a long shot. But they have great ingredients (except for the limp greens on my salad) and they know how to cook them. Most of the entrees are typical steak & stogey restaurant fare, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. This is the perfect restaurant to impress your Grandfather.
Pros: great food, good service, wine list bordering on ridiculous
Cons: food not quite as exciting as you'd expect for the price

Columbia doesn't have a finer restaurant. The food is creatively prepared. The wine list is tops. The service is impeccable. The Vineyard is far superior to other restaurants in this area. I go there as often as my schedule permits.
Pros: food and wine
Cons: sometimes a little noisy

Very, very tasty food. Chef is excellent. It's got a great reputation and I've been there half a dozen times in 2 years. It's a small place but good atmosphere.
Pros: Food, Service, Atmosphere
Cons: Price a bit high

Being new to town I've engaged in the search for the best food, so far the vineyard wins the upscale rating with great meats, soups, and wonderful seasonings. The competion is slim, so we can overlook the poor bread and somewhat steep prices.
Pros: Well thought out food
Cons: , Price, No Handicap Access

One of the best restaurants I have ever had the pleasure of dining in. The wait staff was exceptional and the wine list offered rare hard to find wines.
Pros: price, food, value
Cons: parking
